CBNU and Taipei Tech capstone design presentation held on Aug. 23

Taipei Tech Department of Industrial Management and Chungbuk National University, Korea jointly held a capstone design presentation started on August 21. More than 30 Students from two countries had the opportunity to exchange their thoughts and ideas during the 3 day event.

The design projects were focus on Arduino applications. Students were assigned into different mix nationality groups. Korean students were from Dept. of Management Information Systems and Dept. of Safety Engineering. Although students from Chungbuk National University had various majors than Taipei Tech students, the discussion and collaboration with our industrial management majors were still very enthusiastic and productive. Taiwanese students were impressed by their Korean counterparts’ problem oriented projects that reflected a lot of issues including parking and construction safety in recent Korea news events.

In addition to elevate professional knowledge through bilateral contribution, student’s horizon had also been broadening by international communication. To show our warmest welcome, Taipei Tech students took their Korea friends to experience the culture of Taiwan such as night market. Some of them even add each other as friends on Kakal Talk, one of the mostly used social APPs in Korea, and still kept in touch after the event was over.

Before this year’s activity, Chungbuk National University already paid a visit to Taipei Tech last year. And we expect to see more exchanges both in academic and culture between the two.
