Taipei Tech recognized for building a green campus

In order to reduce waste and in response to Taipei City Government’s eco-friendly policy, Taipei Tech replaces its disposable and melamine utensils with more sustainable alternatives in school cafeteria.

As one of the 9 universities in Taipei that actively join the environment protection initiation, Taipei Tech got rid of nearly 2,300 of utensils that can benefit about 400 people daily. Taipei City Governor Wen-je Ko issues certificates of appreciation to the universities which showed support to help building a greener community.

In addition to eliminate one-use utensils, Taipei Tech also focus on research fields that aim to protect our planet including fuel-efficient vehicle, green building, and fuel cell power generator etc. Our effort is highly recognized both nationally and globally.  Being No.1 on the 2017 UI GreenMetric World University Ranking-High Rise Building is a great achievement but not the end of our journey, Taipei Tech will continue to devote resource to earth conservation.
