Located in Taichung Fengyuan, the approximately 66,000 square meter Yuen Fong Yu’s abandoned paper factory is scheduled to be transformed into a wooden museum, following the architectural blueprints laid out by Ren Ping Song and You Gia Chang, students from the Department of Industrial Design at Taipei Tech.

3 major areas are planned for the “Wonderland Museum”: Natural Lobby, Material Transforming Space, Muyishi’s (the word literally means wooden consciousness) Adventure. The design of Wonderland Museum aims to stimulate visitors’ senses including sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste in order to draw them into exploring the energy of wood crafts and appreciate their roles as art in life.

The “Wonderland Museum” was awardedHonorable Mention in the Red Dot Award for Design Concept2015.
