Taipei Tech and Cyber Group put Maker on world stage

Taipei Tech signed MOU with Cyber Group in order to bring Taiwan’s Maker to the world stage. The signing ceremony was held on July 4. According to the MOU, potential products from Taipei Tech’s i-Foundry can be displayed and merchandised in Cyber Group’s stores across the globe including Tokyo, Shanghai, and Peking.

Maker is referred to a group of people who are not only love technology and practice but also enjoy sharing and exchange information. They use digital tools to design and use desktop machines to manufacture products. With extensive use of internet, Maker’s product is expected to be a leading trend in the future.

The Ministry of Education declared the year of 2016 the first year of Maker Education. Leehter Yao, President of Taipei Tech, noted that Taiwan student has great potential in innovation based on his observation of current Asia education situation. And practicum has always been one of the strengths in Technology and Vocational Education. Emphasis on hands-on experience, Taipei Tech wishes student to become the future product developer in the global market.
