Patients who are under long term care often need urine bag. In order to prevent hurting urinary tract and infection, people have to be extremely careful when walking. In addition to inconvenience of moving, the obvious carrying of a urine bag also embarrassed patients and others.

In order to solve all these existing problems of urine bag, Taipei Tech teachers and students designed Thrio, a new type of urine bag that patients can wear under their pants. Thrio has three parts for storage instead of one that can effectively reduce shaking while walking. With Thrio, patients can use urine bag more easily and comfortable.

Designed by Bo-Ren Yang, student from the Department of Industrial Design, Thrio was awarded Winner in the 2016 K-DESIGN AWARD INTERNATIONAL.
