Taipei Tech was awarded Excellence in 2016 Energy Saving Excellent Performance Award, Ministry of Economics, R.O.C. Yeh-fang Duann, Dean of the General Affairs, represented Taipei Tech to receive the award at the award ceremony.

In order to promote energy saving, Taipei Tech formed a group leading by Vice President for setting up major targets and reward/punish policies in school. The goal for every teaching and administration units is to reduce 3% electricity consumption comparing to its last year power consumption. From winning the first Energy Saving Excellent Performance Award in 2014, Taipei Tech has shown continuous effort in protecting the planet.

Already passed the ISO 14001, ISO 50001, and Safety & Health Management System Certification, Taipei Tech also put a lot of strength in creating a green campus. Taipei Tech was No.6 on UI GreenMetric World University Ranking in City Center group.

In speaking of Lightening saving measure, Taipei Tech not only choose high-efficiency and low-glare light bulb, but also has a control system which will turn off lights according to daylight and sensor.

As for air-conditioning system, we integrate existing monitoring systems and add flow sensor and temperature sensor for autonomous air-conditioning operation efficiency calculation.
