Taipei Tech architecture student performed well in competition

Taipei Tech students received two Merit Awards in the 9th Fong-He National Interior Design Graphic Competition. The Fong-He National Interior Design Graphic Competition was organized by Chinese High Quality Life Design Development Association since 2008. The design topic of 2016’s competition is to design a place where senior can enjoy their retired life. The public area should include three parts. First is a space for nursing staff to stay. Second is an area for people to recreate, relax, and exercise. Third is a place where senior can spend times with their children.

Below are some introductions for the winning works.

Design title: Yi Tong Qu (Memory, together, fun)

Student: Yu-Rou Qu (Master Program of Architecture)

Instructor: Professor Cong-Rong Wang

Description:

This work provides an area for senior and their children spending time together. On the wooden laminate, senior can have a tea while children playing nearby.

Design title: Gui Gen (Return to one’s root)

Student: Min-Rui Lu(Master Program of Architecture)

Instructor: Professor Cong-Rong Wang

Description:

This work includes a barrier free stage, information booth, electrical sun shading board, compound restaurant, library, and pharmacy.
