Taipei Tech win gold in International Warsaw Invention Show

International Warsaw Invention Show (IWIS) is the largest in Poland and one of the biggest in Europe international event related to innovation and inventiveness. In the 2017 IWIS, Taiwan team won 60 medals including 1 platinum medal, 31 gold medals, 19 silver medals, 2 bronze medals, and 7 special medals. The outstanding performance made Taiwan No.2 in the total ranking worldwide.

Taipei Tech professor Dr. Cai De-hua is one of the team members who designed the gold-winning oil painting brush that left some of artists burden from preparing various stuff needed such as color palette, easel, painting and pallette knife, mixing palette and so on before actually start to paint.

The team wanted to make oil painting brush more multi-functional and portable. The new brush shaped like a regular color pen came in different colors and brushes that can fit every artist’s need. In addition to convenience, all purposes oil painting brush has fragrance which replaces heavy smell that traditional oil painting sometimes has.

Receiving many positive feedbacks, there are already some companies want to discuss the possibility of mass produce the design.
