Taipei Tech EMBA programs build learning network in China

The EMBA program of Taipei Tech not only fosters elite in Taiwan, but also aims to reach out for overseas Chinese in Asia and the world. Except for the EMBA programs in business management, industrial engineering and management, and information and financial management within Taiwan, Taipei Tech also set up overseas EMBA programs in Thailand and Dongguan, China in responds to needs of Taiwanese managers in these areas. In August 2015, a new EMBA program in Shanghai was set up.
In order to increase connection and foster joint learning between above programs, Taipei Tech held the first cross-country competition event called “Glocalynergy”, which stands for Global, Local and Synergy, in spring semester in 2015. Students scattered in Taiwan, Thailand and Dongguan and were assigned into ten new teams and competed in the event.
The event lasted for two days. Team members have to take courses together and learned from each other through Case Method competition, i.e. the future of driverless cars and the Disney international brand develop analysis. Students also developed a strong connection and chemistry at the same time.
Shu-Kai Fan, the CEO of Taipei Tech EMBA program notes that Taiwan is already in the “post EMBA era” and moved to advanced edition of EMBA (EMBA 2.0). EMBA 2.0 promotes not only management theory, but also highlights the importance of trend, practical and application all together. In addition to increase student’s advantage and value, Taipei Tech EMBA also expects students to become entrepreneurs, leaders who create society trend, and managers in life.
"Glocalynergy" is not the end of communication between EMBA programs. Taipei Tech is planning to hold overseas visits and lectures to raise opportunities of interactions in the future.
