Taipei Tech student put effort into creating intelligent life for Asthma patient

Asthma patient can suffer from the change of seasons and air-pollution. In order to improve patient’s life, Taipei Tech students came up with the design “Asthma Caregiver”. The “Asthma Caregiver” has all the help a patient will need throughout a day, including bronchodilator and emergency calling function, etc.
Taipei Tech and the SIGMU Company has been holding the SIGMU creative intelligent life competition since 2014. This year, 13 works were awarded out of 120 pieces of design from all over the country were enrolled in the event.
The “Asthma Caregiver” designed by students from the Department of Industrial Design at Taipei Tech won the 1st place in the Health Care group. The device is not only a charge station and medicine supply station for bronchodilator, but also a filter that make air more clear. “Asthma Caregiver” is now discussing the possibility for commercialization with the SIGMU Company.
President Yao noted that students can benefit from the process of transform an idea to a real product, and hopefully to make this society a more stable, healthy, comfortable, convenient, and energy saving one.
