CNA--A researcher with National Taipei University of Technology (台北科技大學) interacts with the newly-developed medical care robot on Monday, Oct. 31. The university research team said they developed the robot, which has a GPS function and sensors to keep it from running into obstacles, in response to an increasingly urgent need to address the demands of an aging society and a lack of manpower working in medical care. The robot could help with housework, test people's health conditions and send evaluation results to cloud storage databases, researchers said.
