New industrial master’s degree program in textile technique and international marketing

Taiwan’s textile industry earned its place on world stage by combining technology innovation, intelligent wearable device, ecological, intelligent manufacturing automation, brand development, and green energy. In response to international textile industry need, Taipei Tech cooperates with companies in the industry to establish an industrial master’s degree program in textile technique and international marketing. Companies not only provide million NTD scholarships, but also invite leaders and CEOs to be instructors. This two-year program also includes 300 hours of business and professional English courses and overseas study trip. In the 7-days overseas study trip, students will gain an overall view of industrial situation by visiting mainland China and Southeast Asia. Students in this program are literally the management trainee of these international companies.
Chao-chin Su, Dean of Office of Research and Development, noted that the talent need in textile is expanding fast, the industrial master’s degree program is perfect for meeting this need. 28,000 NTD/per month will be provided to those who has no previous working experience as an intern grant. Some intern opportunities even come with dormitory. These benefits are better than the ones provided by current graduate institutes and on-the-job training programs.
Shu-mei Zhang, Director of the Department of Molecular Science and Engineering, said student will spend 1 day at school and 4 days in company as an intern. Students get professional intense training in their first year. And will focus on their thesis and practical experience in the second year. Three-quarters of classes are taught by prime leaders of industry.
