Five-year associate program come back in 2018

Established in 1912, Taipei Tech is among one of the oldest universities in Taiwan. It was first established during the Japanese Colonial Period as the Auxiliary Industrial Institute of the Education Affairs Office of the Civil Administration Department.

In 1948 the school was renamed as Provincial Taipei Institute of Technology providing five-year associate degree programs. In 1997, the school was promoted to University status, and was renamed as National Taipei University of Technology (Taipei Tech).

In 2018, Taipei Tech will offer a five-year associate degree program on Intelligent Automation that consists of 30 students. This program aims at cultivating engineers for Taiwan’s industry. The classes will all be taught in English and only opens to top students. In the future, every student in this program will have two teachers including one on campus and one in the industry. Many famous and successful alumni such as Pegatron Corporation Chairman Tung Tzu-hsien and Everlight Electronics Chairman Ye Yin-fu are on the industry instructor’s list. In addition to above features, opportunities for conducting internship and participating competition aboard are also provided. In order to spread out the message, Taipei Tech is launching a series of recruitment orientations in junior high schools around Taiwan.
