Malaysian Enterprises Recruitment Fair was held at Taipei Tech

The opening ceremony of Malaysian Enterprises Recruitment Fair 2018 was held on May 26 at Taipei Tech. Taiwan Executive Yuan Premier Lai Ching-te gave high praise to the talent matching event and expected it to be a great platform to recruit personal from countries located in southeast Asia in response to Government’s policy.

Chairman of the Malaysian Chamber of Commerce in Taipei noted that global enterprises including Malaysian companies like to hire people from Taiwan for its high-quality education. This is the sixth year in a row for Malaysian Chamber of Commerce in Taipei to hold recruitment fair. And this year, enterprises such as Kia, Health Management International, and Top Glove all participated to seek talent. About 1,280 vacancies from 70 companies were opened in the event.

Taipei Tech President Wang Sea-fue noted that Malaysia students comprised 15% of Taipei Tech’s international students. The university puts a lot of efforts and emphasis in recruiting and taking care of these students in order to provide them with the skills and knowledge they need to join the work force after graduation. Since 2017, qualified students who came from Southeast Asia countries including Malaysia can apply for Taipei City ICT Southern Diamond Talent Convergence Plan and Elite Scholarship Program.
