Taipei Tech Hosts Kingdom of Eswatini ICT Minister Visit

On March 17, 2026, National Taipei University of Technology (Taipei Tech) warmly welcomed the Minister of Information, Communications and Technology of the Kingdom of Eswatini, Hon. Savannah Maziya, and her Personal Assistant, Ms. Ntombifuthi Zodwa, accompanied by Mr. Chieh-Hsiang Chan from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Asia-West and Africa Division. As the sole Taiwanese university visited, this event highlights Taipei Tech's leadership in international technology education and commitment to technical cooperation with friendly nations.
The meeting was chaired by Vice President Tun-Wen Pai, with Dean of International Affairs Chuan-Ming Liu and Chief of International Cooperation Section Shonn Cheng jointly hosting. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on "IT Talent Cultivation and Development Experiences", repeatedly emphasizing international mobility to further strengthen bilateral ties through student and faculty exchanges.
The Minister expressed strong interest in Taipei Tech's semiconductor technology programs and aerospace engineering. Both parties agreed to actively encourage outstanding Eswatini youth to pursue advanced studies at Taipei Tech, particularly in the iFIRST Academy's Master Program in Semiconductor Technology, laying the foundation for future industry-academia collaboration and strengthening Taiwan-Eswatini technological exchanges.
Currently, Taipei Tech hosts three outstanding Eswatini students in Mechatronics Master's, English Master's, and Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Ph.D. programs, offering industry-oriented top-tier education. This landmark visit reaffirms Taipei Tech's pivotal role as Taiwan's leading vocational university in advancing global technology diplomacy through academic exchanges.
